Intro Programming - Final Grade (07.18.07)

It's about time I posted a new blog. I finished my first "real" computer class. It was called Logic & Design - basically an introduction to programming. Going into the class I was very nervous, especially since I am in the accelerated program and I had only 8 weeks to learn all of the material. I was doing pretty well on the assignments and quizzes until the midterm. It was my "favorite" kind of midterm - one that had nothing to do with the material covered up until the exam. Just after that was when my health was starting to really kick my behind and I was having a hard time understanding some of the concepts. But I spent lots of hours and worked hard. I had a solid B when it came time to take the final. Once again, the exam had nothing to do with material that was covered in the course. Well, very little to do with what had been covered in the class. That exam took me 3 hours to finish and until I got my final grade I was very anxious. I did get an A in the class, but it took a week after seeing my final grade before I got to see how I did on the final. I got a B on the final and once that score factored into my grade, I saw that I got my A on a technicality...my final score for the class was 89.6% which my teacher rounded up to an A. Whew! Except for my C, I have straight A's and a cumulative GPA of 3.67. Yeah me!
