Back to School Shopping - Oh My! (09.11.06)

So, I get an e-mail today reminding me that I will have to do some back to school shopping. I am so excited to be going back to school, though there is a part of me who can't believe this is really happening. When I cam down here, I thought I'd have to wait a year to establish residency. Since DeVry isn't a state school, but a national school, in-state and out-of-state tuition doesn't apply. I still have a month and a half before I start, which is good. At least I can finish unpacking. (I am still not motivated enough to get it done.) I am going to start part time and hopefully go full time soon after.

Back to School (09.09.06)

So, it's becoming official. I will be starting school again next month at DeVry (via their online program). I intend to study CIS with my specialty being computer forensics. But, if that's not for me, then I will get into accounting. CIS is a whole new (and scary) field for me. The only computer classes I ever took were typing classes in junior high. I am very excited though and ready for the challenge. Bring it on!!!

Home at Last (09.07.06)

I am home at last - in Eugene, OR. Not quite where I thought I would end up, but what the heck. The opportunity to move here was so good I couldn't pass it up. So, here I am. I got a job and started working the week I came down, so I am still trying to unpack. And two weeks after getting here, I started house/catsitting for someone...they'll be back soon. Then I can unpack and get settled.
