Online Quizzes - Chicago PD/Fire...

So, decided I'd shake things up and post my online quiz results from today on my blog rather than Facebook (and the link to post on Facebook was void anyway). It was to see which Chicago PD and Chicago Fire character you're the most like. I wrote my thoughts first and embedded the results & the character's personality information after. :) At least I can say I blogged recently...lol!

Chicago PD - so this was surprising. Voight is the bad guy...seriously! Dude went to f'ing jail last season on Chicago Fire! Shocking that he got to stay on the force. But, what it has to say about his personality is actually true...so I have to give credit for that one.

Chicago Fire - this one fits me PERFECTLY! And having seen the show and what Matt has gone through - I can totally relate. This one, I get much easier than I do the Chicago PD (even though in the end, I agree).

Tribute Videos

So, I decided today to take on a project that I felt needed to be done. I’m really getting into YouTube. And I see the option to create a slideshow and I’ve wanted to do one of the cats but was trying to find the right music. Unfortunately, I’m limited to what YouTube has in their library. And for some reason, it wouldn’t let me repeat the song as it should have been able to. I chose an acoustic country song called lullaby. Since it was short and I decided it was going to be a tribute video to the boys, I split it up into 4 videos, one for each. I can’t watch without crying. I didn’t get too far into Kazi’s without the tears building up. I miss my boys so much and I feel like I let them down. I NEVER thought I’d find myself in a position where I’d have to give any of the 5 cats up. But with Sharon’s death being so sudden and me being stuck where I am in life and not moving forward, I probably wouldn’t have gotten my boys back. I’m just lucky that Cherie & Jim took them in when Dave’s deadline came along and fostered them temporarily for Maine Coon Rescue (MCR). Of course, that was an absolute disaster with me getting stabbed in the back saying euthanize your (healthy) cats and while you’re at it, can you please fire the foster mom they were supposed to go to. Luckily, Kirsten was online and saw my post and reached The Oregon Cat Project (TOCP). They took my cats as they were (only missing their FeLV vaccine since they’re indoor only cats) and again to the rescue were Cherie & Jim. I hate not knowing where they are, if they’re alive and ok. Kazi would be 14, Kahlua would be 12 in July, Kegan would be 14 in June & Pepper would be 10. Oh – how time passes. I like to believe that Sharon is looking over them and will bring them into her loving arms when the time comes.

Kamikaze Kahlua Petsitting

I'm trying to get into petsitting. It's something I've done on and off for the past 9 years. I'm reliable, well qualified, experienced and have stellar references. I recently purchased some business cards and fridge magnets from Vistaprint. I intend to take the cards to local area vets and pet stores (in the Bonney Lake and West Seattle area around South Seattle Community College). The magnets will be for repeat clients. Kamikaze Kahlua Petsitting is now live with a website and social media - see full contact information below & a video about why to hire Kamikaze Kahlua Petsitting before hiring anybody else or paying boarding fees for your pet(s).

Locks of Love 12" Donation

My first attempt at donation, the hair dresser didn't do it correctly. She did it with one big pony tail and didn't use a rubber band. You're supposed to use "pig tails" and rubber bands to secure the hair properly. Also, it's most common for the salon to send in the hair for you.

In November 2011 while in Eugene saying goodbye to my boys forever, I decided that I would attempt to do a donation again. And the salon I went to not only had an appointment that day, but because I was donating to Locks of Love, the hair cut was 1/2 off ($10)! Since I was prepared to pay $20, I gave the stylist a $10 tip. But my hair also looked great. Here's an after pic from that donation.

Fast forward to January 15, 2014 and I went in to see if I had the minimum 10" donation and still be able to have my hair just past my shoulders when dry which is the shortest I'll go. I had the minimum. Jason & I both love my long hair, but Locks of Love is such a good cause. So, after I picked up my cousin for school I told her I had a stop to make. And we went in to get my hair chopped off. Since we were going by keeping my hair a certain length, I was able to donate 12" total. My cousin took the before pics and I took the after pics.
